A few years ago, one of our cofounders wrote a poem reflecting on the significance of Memorial Day and the courage of those who serve. It's a piece close to our heart, and we’d love to share it with you.

NEVER FORGET

Never forget those who are gone

And all the freedoms they have won

For your daughter and your son

Never forget when you go out today

They put themselves in harm’s way

And faced horrors we dare not say

Never forget, you can stand tall

Because they answered the nation’s call

And held watch along the wall

Never forget when you turn out the light

And tuck your kids in bed at night

All the soldiers who died in the fight

Never forget what they gave

To protect the flag and to save

The land of the free and home the brave

Never forget, they did that for you and me

To ensure we all live proud and free

From sea, to shining sea

Never forget that the story we tell

Is not about sadness or farewell

It’s about those we love and those who fell

Never forget they still survive

As long as work and we strive

To keep their memories in our hearts alive

So until that final sunset

When we all lay down the bayonet

The soldiers we lost, never forget
